Workshop with See What Sticks!
When we say you can workshop anything at SWS, we mean anything! We've had actors work on monologues, singers practice songs, essayists read new work aloud, dancers practice new material... we even had a workshopper once play their original podcast in front of the audience, and others who workshopped game shows they created. This is truly a workshop for all artists.
Your material does NOT need to be original. If you're a director and you want to get some actors together and workshop a short scene from a Sam Shepard play, cool! If you're a singer and you want to sing Billy Joel, do it! We're here for you to try stuff out! See What Sticks is a workshop. It's a place to work out material in front an audience. We encourage you to include the audience in your process by letting them know what it is you want to gain from the workshop. Your time slot at SWS is YOURS. You can workshop your material for your whole slot. You can use the last few minutes for a talkback. You can pass out comment cards. Whatever you feel will help you the most. |
